Proofreaders Hell!

Firstly, I must apologise for the few mistakes that may appear in, 'Bombay Mixx'!

I am a perfectionist and did get it professionally proofread, however, even with doing my research and looking at the reviews, you are never guaranteed to get a perfect service.

After paying over £300 to get the novel professionally edited, I have realised they did not do the job they proposed and I have decided to look for another proofreader with the hope I will receive a better service.

Hopefully the minimal errors will not affect the overall fun, original storyline.

'Bombay Mixx' will be unavailable for a few days in the near future as I will need to update it with the new, proofread version, so watch this space!

Book Review: Booksformee.blogspot.in

In order to make, 'Bombay Mixx' more accessible to literary fans, I wanted to incorporate blogs into my book review campaign and this is when I spoke to VB on Booksformee.

Booksformee is a blog which is dedicated to everything literary. Not only does she review books but she also informs readers of interesting reads and competitions, making this blog ideal for all you fellow book worms out there!

Scoring 4 out of 5 in her review, 'Bombay Mixx' managed to make her, 'laugh aloud' as Nita and the gang made their scenarios come to life and left her with the final feeling that, 'Lewis has added style and substance to Bombay mixx with ease'.

I absolutely luv this website!

Not only is it girly, with it's fun fonts, pink background and cute images but it has a vast selection of everything Chick Lit, meaning that even the most addicted Chick Lit fan could never run out of books to put on their, 'to read' list! lol

To help advertise the book, and the free promotion I am currently running, Chicklitclub have produced a review and I'm pleased to announce, 'Bombay Mixx' received 7 out of 10 (from one of their reviewers called Pooja) and for my first ever published novel, I can say I am very happy with that score.

Bombay Mixx Book Trailer is Here!!!

Well after months of trying to reduce the size of the trailer, I have finally managed to do it and turn it from a feature film into a proper trailer! lol

Unfortunately, you do not get to see Gabrielle in this one but you will see her in the next trailer for the Bombay Mixx sequel.

Self publishing my novels is great as I get to learn from all my advertising mistakes, however, finding websites that will review my novel, advertise my work and interview authors is difficult and can take time away from doing what all us authors do best...write!

My First Interview!

OK, so I'm very excited now!

Although my next post was supposed to be my next women's fiction short story, I have received confirmation that my interview with Book Briefs Blog is now published and available to all.

It's very strange to be interviewed and although it was through email, it was still very daunting!

Trying to sound fun and fresh, instead of robotic and boring or the worst one, oversell your work, I changed my answers over three times!

Bombay Mixx is Finally Here!

Hello everyone,

Finally, I have been able to set up and be happy with a blog for this novel!

I am thankful for all the lovely emails I have received through the website about the book and am looking forward to starting the sequel.

Although it has been a stressful experience, trying to self publish the book by myself, it has been eye opening and I have spoken to some great fans and fellow authors.
